Using a Sinar 23 I have been shooting some close up shots of jewelery and was hoping for some insights into improving the optical side of the system. I was shooting on a variety of lenses (none specifically digital) all over 300mm, also I used a componon 80mm mirco for some extreme close ups.... As always there's a trade off between enlargement, aperture, lens performance and depth of field. The factor of enlargement is better than film due to the small size of the ccd, but I was hoping for pointers to further refine my work. Has anyone experience of the sinar 120mm macro or recommendations for lenses "digital" or otherwise that g work well. Has anyone experimented with reversing lenses to this end on this kit?( it strikes me that this technique with film was intensely akward but with digital could be relatively workable....

as always, thanks for your considerations.......

Andy
