I'm using an Imacon 3020, which uses the same chip as the Sinar 23. I basically have retired my conventional lenses as their resolution is simply not high enough for such a small imaging area, I remember being disgusted as they are absolutely biting on film, I eventually took the plunge and got a 90mm and 60mm Schneider APO Digitars with Rollei shutters and Controler S panel, they're really cracking and show what the chip is actually capable of, especially in 16 shot captures.
The image area is very generous and allows a plenty of movements with that chip, however they don't like being stopped down too much, but with live video there is no need as you can get your movements bang on. I'll certainly be looking at getting another couple pretty soon. All I can say is try them out and see if you think the difference is worth it.
All the best,
Barry
