I set up a new system a few weeks ago just for storage with a RAID card in it with 4 120G drives... mirrored to look like 2 drives for a total of 240G of storage. The guy at the store who sold me the parts for the system insinuated that I could put another RAID card in it to add more drives.... but when I tried that, the OS would not boot. I took out the extra card and it went back to normal. I contacted Promise (the card manufacturer) and they said that you could NOT put more than one of those cards in a system without conflicts. So I guess I'll have to build yet another box to put more storage in.
