Question 2. Has anyone used either the 24mm or 45mm TS-E tilt and shift
lenses with a 1DS? Any info on quality, possible lens aberration
problems
etc!

Mike
I use a 24mm TS-E with a 1Ds. There is a small amount of barreling and noticeable light fall off at the edges when used with a lot of movement. Still a nice lens though. Instead of getting the other Canon TS-E s I bought a panoramic adapter from Zork (about 480 euro) which turns my virtually redundant Pentax 67 lenses into shift lenses (no tilts) It works very well and gives you 25mm of rise, fall or shift. Image sharpness from these 15 -20 year old lenses is on a par with the 24mm TS-E and Canon non L zooms.

Kind regards
