I'm inclined to second Rod's suggestions. I also repair permissions
frequently after using MacJanitor to do the maintenance. However, since
staring to use Terminal instead (I think the "sudo" commands posted here a
while back run the same maintenance scripts) I haven't repaired permissions
and have not had Photoshop CS quit on me.

Some other possible areas to look at:
Corrupted Preferences
Corrupted fonts (especially if Photoshop quits when using the Type tool)
Your font serving utility needs updating/upgrading
A fault on your scratch disk

The OS stores crash logs, you may want to inspect them and send them to
Adobe and/or Apple. If you get the option to send a crash log when Photoshop
quits, take the opportunity.
