I learnt this rather cool technique at a workshop a week ago. If the dust is dark compared to the background, (eg: in skies) you can use the following technique. I don't know if your digital dust is like this because my 10D has acquired no dust specks despite a years use with many lens changes.

1) Make a selection around the area(s) of sky containing the dust.
2) Float this selection as a layer.
3) Change the layer mode to "lighten"
4) Select the move tool in the palette (make sure that the mode combo is not still selected in the layers palette).
5) Use arrow keys to nudge the new layer a few pixels... only the dust disappears.

Hi

What are peoples best PS techniques
for removing dust spots? They are quite different from dust specs on film,
so I wondered what worked better than good old cloning.
