I have bought and sold things on eBay with very little trouble.
A few guidelines need to be followed though
1. don't buy software
2. read the seller's history and see what sort of items have been bought and sold (then check the buyers of the seller's goods!) - and
3. don't believe an offer if it seems too good to be true - it probably is!
Oh and don't buy any replacement body parts on eBay - you don't know where they have been!
