You might save yourself a lot of work if the amount to be pasted in is quite narrow. Make a selection of the wall area, copy > paste the wallpaper back in (paste wallpaper--HA!) then with >show boundaries on the move tool selected stretch the new layer up to the ceiling and press enter. Hey presto!
Having not seen the picture and how much furniture is in the way this might be hopeless. Otherwise stay clear of color balance as a adjustment layer and use curves or levels and a gradient mask to help out. best of luck>keep your hair on!
