I would even suggest you save the file with the original setting (a simple
save), and compare the difference with the dupe after re-opening.  PS users
have claimed to see JPEG degradation only when the bitmap data is changed,
not information independent of it (e.g., image information) ... as if PS has
an algorithm for recognizing and duplicating the compression.
