Dear james, Got a d100, bought a d70 as a back up. The d70 eclipses the d100 in, af speed, lower noise at higher iso's, flash synch of 1/500. Faster raw saving even of compressed raw files over jpegs in d100, better colour wb meter. The ok no vc grip and no magneisum body. Maybe a long lens problem, but never seen on any lists. Ok shutter only designed for 20,000 shots , hey by my work flow, that�s about 2 years use. Well in two years were going to be moving so far ahead, throw in bin for �600.
