Yes I think you are spot on there.
It is a line left when the head changes direction.
and yes it does start just before the image and sometimes stops after about 8 inches.


Nice to have it recognised.

Ive done all the head cleaning I can.
I think my next step is to change the cartridge (alas a full-ish one)
Rather embarrassingly I have forgotten how to get a non empty cartridge out.
The printers doesn't want to give it up, as it does when the low ink light is flashing, help!
Also please remind me what OEM stands for.
