Hi Paul, Yes and no - the only reliable way to entirely eliminate any 'old' ink from a CIS cart is replacement because there is a sponge inside the cart that holds ink and is near impossible to clean or flush. However, in this case it might be possible to suck (new) ink through the yellow line and cart to get just enough of the old stuff out to reduce any issues to nil. I'd recommend that you contact your reseller though, because they may be more aware of this as an issue. As far as I can tell, I don't think we ever had the batches you note, so I would not be aware if they had caused a problem!
