The Camera ships with the "Raw Converter LE" which has an optionless 8 bit tiff output. The camera's capabilities MAY prove me wrong, but I reckon people who have been processing raw files in CS, or C1, or Bibble, or... will be reluctant to give up the fine adjustments available in this workflow.
