Oh we query against our local cursors too, Frank, I'm sure, but we leave 
that code out of the UI and instead put it in the data tier most likely. 
  It's not for snobby purposes but as you know (since you do n-tier 
also), once you "get it" and work in this mode, it makes development a 
lot easier, imo.
