Anyone have any experience with alternatives to GotoMeeting? I've had sporadic problems with GotoMeeting and am not psyched by its $50/month fee. GotoMeeting requires installation of an IE plugin (ActiveX) on the user side which can be problematic. GotoMeeting averages 4-5 day turnaround on tech support requests.
I've been searching for alternatives (there are a lot of options in the online meeting/presentation market!) and GatherPlace (www.gatherplace.net) looks like a reaonably priced alternative to GotoMeeting ($30/month). Some benefits to GatherPlace.net: 1. Supports Linux and Mac guests 2. No ActiveX plugins required for guests 3. Guests can optionally share THEIR desktops! 4. You can customize the guest login experience Guest desktop sharing could be used for remote support or remote training purposes. Does anyone have any experience with the GatherPlace.net service?
