Jeff,
VMWare FusionFX is the Parallels equivalent but in my experience more stable
and with better performance. We are on Version 10 (Soon to be 11) now and I
have used it since Version 6. With the exception of Version 9 it has always
been better than Parallels... and cheaper! My Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 VM's on
Fusion run faster than my native Dell i7 laptop and only graphics performance
seems to be degraded but that is going to improve in V11 (so they say!)

The MAC would be okay if it had a decent VM. Parallels had terrible
performance. Someone on this thread mentioned that Windows 10 worked better.
Is there an alternative to Parallels? - Besides a dual boot.
