Like I said, hdtv and its hd/blue-ray technology can be very aggravating, and I'm sure it wouldn't do my blood pressure much good. A Microsoft HD DVD can hold around 10 to 25 gigs of data and a blue-ray DVD can do much better than that; at least 50 gig. The additional capacity is needed to play the much greater resolution stream to address the added pixels that must be addressed. The DVDs are much more expensive as well, especially the R/W ones.
