Paul, Damn...I need a rethink obviously! To Paul M, the VSS Syncback copy of VFP tables would seem to be very stable if you disregard the indexes. In the event of a failover I usually instigate an index recreation regardless just to make sure. In the 18 trial failovers each month since we started I have only had one busted index so far, but as I say I always reindex as a matter of procedure
