Did you ever hear back from folks still there how the outsourcing was working out for them? We've used some outsourcing here at this Baltimore place and it's been bad. A supposed-to-be simple project that was due in December 2007 is still not finished. The Indian guy is nice but the code is sketchy and the comments in code are few and far between. They're creating this DotNet web service that supposed to talk to our VFP free tables, and it has some crappy requirement that it has to be DotNet 1.1 because otherwise something would break something else. (Yeah, sketchy details...I know.) My colleague wanted us to do a VFP web service that would have achieved the goal and much sooner but that option was passed for the outsourcing firm creating it in DotNet. This was the "first stage" of the project. Needless to say, mgmt has shit-canned "stage 2" as this has gone way late and over budget. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
