What inconsistency is there? What difficulty? They're all MSI or
InstallShield installers, they're all wizard based ... I never have
problems.

And in most Linux distros it seems to be pretty easy now also, as long
as there is a package prebuilt for the package manager your distro uses.
If not, have fun with the shell and dependencies!
