I've had Tbirds, Marquis, etc. and now my wife drives a Mustang. One of the
things people tend to forget with the rounded, lump designs of most cars is
that short people can't always tell where the corners are in tight places. We
got the Mustang because the sharp lines on the front fenders and the spoiler on
the back let her (all five feet tall) see where ends of the car are.

It's actually her second one as the first one was destroyed by coming in
contact with a GMC Suburban. It was then that I appreciated the heavier car
with a little more bulk surrounding the passenger compartment. I'm not sure
one of the econoboxes would have faired so well. The trend toward smaller,
lighter vehicles, while saving fuel, I believe, will cost lives.
