You know, my 2005 Ford Focus has nearly 80K miles on it, has gone through two sets of tires, one set of brakes, and has not had any problems at all. It gets 30 mpg, and is classified as a PZEV, or Practically Zero Emissions Vehicle.
I paid a whopping $14K for the car when it was brand new. I'm perfectly happy with it.
