Thank God for that story...hopefully they *have* improved.  The last 
model I had was from 2002.  Decent truck (Explorer Sport Trac) but that 
Ford, along with my previous 2 Fords, didn't hold it's value for squat. 
  I know they try to give you virtually nothing for your trade-ins as a 
rule, but the blue-book values for Fords show that they really hold 
value far less than other cars, like Toyotas, as a rule.
