I know that wait till SP1 is released and approved has been my mantra
with respect to PRODUCTION systems. Would you agree that you have to
bring in new products and test them in a separate environment or
version so that you are ahead of the curve in what is needed to deal
with it?

As software grows in complexity you have to get comfortable with it
before switching into the newer version correct?

OK, should Intuit have released Quicken for DOS to the open source
when they committed to only doing windows versions? Here you you have
the decision where you expect your customers to follow the TREND in
computers. If you release you shelved product do you expose internal
secrets that you grew and continue in the replacement product?

I believe that either Paradox or dBase was sold to it's respective
developer core. We haven't heard of either being revamped since, have
we?

This is purely business and I don't see much of a difference between
it and expecting the business to gain a conscious and help out a few
select customers, when you expect those customers to follow the new
trend that your now SELLING. Yes it is all about sales isn't it.
