Dear Pablo: Thank you for the tip.
I stopped using CCleaner because it took out needed material. I have switched to Registry Mechanic. It found over 700 item in the temp folder. Still closing Windows problem continued. I then removed SP3 from this XP Pro system: • C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$ • clicking on the spuninst.exe All the problems continue. -- Charles -- Volunteer Associate Professor of Psychiatry University of Cincinnati Medical Center Website: http://TinyURL.com/EnzerMD ________________________________________ From: profoxtech-boun...@leafe.com [profoxtech-boun...@leafe.com] On Behalf Of PabloSr [prive...@nycap.rr.com] Sent: Sunday, April 25, 2010 2:11 AM To: profoxt...@leafe.com Subject: RE: [NF] Limited Connectivity * -----Original Message----- * boun...@leafe.com] On Behalf Of Charles Hart Enzer, M.D., FAACAP * * I am having progressive problems with my XP SP3 Desktop: * * 1. I suggest you find Ccleaner for XP and set up the program to clean everything you have in the several areas under the windows tab of the cleaner. Have a look at the other sections of the program, like the Registry options and try restoring the registry integrity. By all means make a backup of your system before doing this, since CCleaner do quite a thorough scrubbing of the disk drive. After this your system should run faster. On the part that is on the subject line, I should tell you that (with Windows 7 Ultimate) I sometimes experience that limited connectivity malady. When this happens, I either reboot the machine, or disconnect the router itself for a few (10) seconds. When I reconnect it, the full connection is reestablished. Best of luck. =========== *PabloSr* [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/29eb08cece587448af36e56b0913fc9321bdce8...@ucmailbe4.ad.uc.edu ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
