Dear Pablo:

Thank you for the tip.

I stopped using CCleaner because it took out needed material.

I have switched to Registry Mechanic.

It found over 700 item in the temp folder.

Still closing Windows problem continued.

I then removed SP3 from this XP Pro system:

   •    C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$
   •    clicking on the spuninst.exe

All the problems continue.

*     2. [Startkey] [U] [R] doesn't reboot
*     3. Repeating #2 doesn't reboot
*     4. [Startkey] [U] [U] reboots on second try

* 8. Taking the Card to a Vista machine, it works fine
*
* I installed Driver for Belkin, rebooted and reinstalled.

Here are some observations and suggestions Charles:

Sounds like you may have a lot of "junk" in temporary files other areas in
your machine. I suggest you find Ccleaner for XP and set up the program to
clean everything you have in the several areas under the windows tab of the
cleaner. Have a look at the other sections of the program, like the Registry
options and try restoring the registry integrity. By all means make a backup
of your system before doing this, since CCleaner do quite a thorough
scrubbing of the disk drive. After this your system should run faster.

On the part that is on the subject line, I should tell you that (with
Windows 7 Ultimate) I sometimes experience that limited connectivity malady.
When this happens, I either reboot the machine, or disconnect the router
itself for a few (10) seconds. When I reconnect it, the full connection is
reestablished.

Best of luck.
