Mike, Because applications find duplicates, they are not in the PATH and delete them to "clean up" disk space. Which causes problems. Because it's not the Microsoft suggested way. Because if you have vfp9r.dll sp2 in your folder, and someone installs vfp9renu.dll rtm in the path, you could get a "resource file version mismatch" error.
