Ya know, it's sooooo funny that this conversation has come up again...

Not that Travellin' Bill was my inspiration, but I was seriously
thinking of doing more or less the same thing. I am aware of Bill's
situation that drove his decision but mine differs - I would just like
to semi-retire and explore other things...

My thinking was park a trailer someplace, live cheap, be a camp host
for free lodging at the site, do some consulting work, some writing...
for my needs it wouldn't really take much $$$ to pull it off...

I had come to the decision to go for it by the time I'm 50 at the end
of the year, and lo and behold her it comes in a couple of months...

BUT, right after deciding to do this, I met the woman of my (supposed)
dreams, got married and all those plans went out the window... <g>

BUT, now that that ain't working out, I might come back to this
idea... rather tempting... I'll consider it Plan B at this point...
