I agree, tool tips would be a pain for people using a tablet. For other people, it would probably take a bit before discovering them, and linking a description in words in a tooltip to a page explaining it would probably be a pain.
I don't know enough about moinmoin but would it be an idea to provide a switch button to switch colouring based on part of speech or rank? Another thing I have not seen pop up, but what with ranks of derived verbs, the ones generated by the application of adverbs and conjunctions?
