Raul, you have mentioned using the Chrome browser. On my Windows 7 PC,
I can go through the startup steps after each JAL update and just leave
JHS running until the next update requires a restart. What I mean is:

Click on jhs701 icon which starts jconsole, which advises to enter a URL
in a web browser. Just leave this jconsole session running. You can
start another if you want to use jconsole for other work.

In my Chrome bookmarks bar I have a jijxaz icon which I shift click to
start JHS in a separate window. From now on everything happens in that
window, which I just leave open until the next JAL update requires a
restart.

Occasionally I do a quick cleanup: type erase names'' and jlog 0 and Esc
j in the upper pane. I like to run jfile in the lower pane. You can
set Cwh_j_ to match the size you have chosen for the upper pane.

I often have the vocabulary page in a separate window alongside the
jijxaz window. Right now I am composing this in a window alongside the
jijxaz window.
