For INSPIRE import we had the same issue and updated the bibrec tables
with the original dates from SPIRES, since it is the dates of addition and
modification in the service, not any particular database, that matter for
us. I imagine the same is true for Benoit. I believe Tibor had some
"scripts" that just pulled the dates from MARC and updated the bibrec
table, so if you can wait for his return, he may provide a solution if
this is a one/few time need.
