Comments on new metrics:
* All of these should move down to "alternative" so that people feel at
home here (i.e. looks like SPIRES).
* You can also add little "help texts" there just as with h-index. I'd
put all of these above h-index.
* Unique Citing papers could be called "Distinct Citing Papers" and have a
help text to explain it
* For the median and mode I'd do :
{{{
Average Citation per Paper
Median
Mode
}}}
I think with the spacing like that, it is clearer and less verbose. These
averages also need to be away from Unique/Distinct citing papers, so that
the "per paper" is not confusing there. Maybe the U/DCP comes below the
Averages.
* Finally, and this is a wishlist/long term thing. There is a branch in
me repo that is half finished to add a histogram to the citesummary
format, instead of the "numerical representation" of the distribution that
is shown there now. This used flot, which is now part of standard
Invenio install. tcb/cite_histogram might have something interesting.
Comments on Narrowing search:
* yes this does exactly what we want
* The centering is kinda funny looking since the other stuff on the page
is left justified
* The interface otherwise seems very reasonable, and only the lack of a
"clear restriction" is annoying.
Smaller things:
* Showing two examples with explanations might be better than the current
look which makes "date 2011" very odd looking What about:
{{{
date 2011</a> --- Use only citing papers from 2011
tc p</a> --- Use only citing papers that are published
}}}
(make sure the published one works...also, what about "this year" instead
of 2011, or "last year"
* Can we put the PDG removal button in a real button-looking thing? Or a
check box? That would look cool..but isn't crucial. We might move it
about the Narrow box, or put it out to the side of the cite summary
itself, just so it isn't confused with the Narrow box.
