My experience was that it was so bad that it couldn't even do speech well at 192k. Lame is so much better even at 160k. On the mac you can use amadeus to have a lame encoded mp3. As mentioned in another post it is certainly possible to do stereo bounces. In fact I blieve that you can choose the default in preferences. HTH --FC
