The waves stuff while not accessible, should be mappable and controlable from a 
control surface. Whether or not the guitar plug in suite falls into this 
category is unknown. Chuck on this list is a Big fan of  the waves stuff and 
probably the person to consult with. I honestly on guitars just been using alot 
of the modulation fx that comes with PT for free with great results. Also I am 
under the impression that PT may come with a free Demo of 11 or an LE version 
of it which is Avid's Guitar amp and fx modeler. If there isn't a demo or le 
version installed, you should be able to find a trial on avid's site to try as 
well.
