I've not yet used Pro Tools, but the one thing that everyone I've asked about it has said is that you definitely want a numeric keypad, unless you want to use a program to remap keys.
I like the full Apple keyboards anyway, as I like using Numpad Commander with VoiceOver. It goes without saying though that you can't use Numpad Commander if you want to use the numpad in Pro Tools.
