    Hello Trevor,

Actually the numpad ciommander is a VO setting. I created a hot spot but
can't remember to toggle the numpad commander on or off.

The hot spot I created is to monitor which measure is on when recording or
    playback.

Thanks for getting back to me and hope you will be able to upgrade to 11.

    John Gunn

    Thanks John,
    I'll check it out.
I'm really very sorry but, I don't know the answer to your question.
I'm still learning how to use ProTools.

    Cheers,
    Trevor

    Trevor,

To see if you qualify for 11, go to upgrade under Pro Tools or go to your
Avid account and if you see 11 in there you are set.

Quick question, I am having a brain melt and can't remember the toggle to
activate numpad commander and to turn it off again.

    Take care,

    John Gunn

I bought ProTools 10 about six months ago, will I be able to upgrade to
    ProTools 11 for free?

    Thank you,

    Trevor

Your local Avid representative should absolutely have that answer. Further,
any Avid dealer can sell an educational copy to anyone with a school
identification. It's the same version of Pro Tools possibly with an upgrade
limitation or something of that sort. Anyway, your Avid rep or a dealer
should be able to answer any questions.
