Hi,

Firstly, don't get confused with the type of card you are buying with
PCMCIA terminology. Basically, you can buy any type of solid state
memory, and the right PCMCIA type 2 adaptor, and have it working with
the PTR1. I would just go ahead and order the relevant stock from
7dayshop.com, have never had a problem with them not having items in
stock which have been listed a long time ago.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew -

Was looking at 7dayshop for Compactflash cards for the PTR1, and saw
some good deals, but they were all offered over 12-18 months ago!
Haven't shopped with them before, so does this mean that they might not
have the stock now, as it was first shown ages back?

Also, am I right to think that PTR1 will only take compactflash type II?
It seems several retailers sell compactflash, but don't say what type!

Need some guidance, so thanks in advance -

Andy

Andy,

I would use either www.expansys.com or www.7dayshop.com.

Andrew.

Hi all -

I'm wondering where to buy compact flash cards, and adapters from -
originally I had a card from Expansys, but it wasn't recognised by PTR1.
I know that the latest upgrade has fixed the compatibility issue, but
not sure if it's the case for all sizes of flash cards! So, any advice
for UK buying?

Andy
