Brian, A flash card is rather a generic term for solid state media, you could term anything as a flash card, for example, a Sony memory stick, a multimedia or secure digital card (MMC/SD card), or a compact flash (CF) card. You can buy adaptors for all these, and plug them into the PCMCIA slot of the PTR1, and they would all work, and would be termed as a flash card.
