Jay, you can do it, but even with the proper settings, it seems that it'll be an MP3 unless you also have the right disk to record to in the beginning. Someone correct me if I am wrong about this. Some disks that I use always say: mp3 recording, when you press the bottom left button, which prepares the recording. Other cd's that are better come up saying: music cd. There's a setting in the status menu, is it--button 5--that allows one to get the settings to be for music cd. I think it says music and 44.
