Hi Aman and all, It was a very tough decision to make, but I took my chances and decided to risk losing all of my bookmarks. I flip the ptr over and pulled the battery out. AS soon as I heard the dial tone stop I put it back in. Toughest 3 seconds of the last year of my life was pressing the bookmarks button to listen for the amount of bookmarks in my book. thank God all was fine. I have about 4000 bookmarks spread over lots of textbooks and personal material and would never have bothered to place another bookmark in my life again had this not worked. Again, like I've conveyed over and over, it would be a very handy thing to be able to backup all settings and bookmarks on the PTR1. For example, plextalk will be releasing an update in June, but it is of absolutely no use to me as I am not going to reread all my books to place the same bookmarks all over again. For all those others who have placed tons of bookmarks, know that all of yours will be gone in June if you install the update. Too bad as I could really use the 10 second and 1 minute rewind feature and the quiet rewinding built into the new version.
