okay just saw your next message. here is what i did. put card into laptop checked to see that the files on the card were okay. reformatted the laptop. put the card back in the ptr. then copied some daisy books on the ptr from cd's to the card, like i often do. then tried reading from the card. the card read fine for a while, and then went crazy as previouswly described.
