Another good trick is to use an external timer to turn a radio receiver
on and off at preselected times. Then set the plextalk to record when
it senses sound.

Hi,

That is an interesting way round the problem.

Thanks, will note for future reference.
Andrew.

Hi,
This is what I do.
Because the switch is spring-loaded and because it can sometimes be
difficult to put the switch in the middle position, I do this. Switch
the unit off. Even before the shut-down process completes, I turn the
unit back on. The switch always returns to the middle position, this is
the neutral position. Perhaps another way to put it is this. Turn the
unit off, wait about a second ant turn the unit back on, leaving the
switch in the middle position the unit will still shut down but the
electronics will be set to allow the on timer to work.

Hello. I'm wanting to set the timer to come on at a certain time and go
off at a certain time. How do I do that? I can't figure out how to do it
and have followed the prompts to set it up. Also, do the unit have to be
on or off? Sharon
