Hi Steve,
Thanks for your suggestion but it doesn't change the behaviour I see.
MySQL gets installed nicely, but the db's do not appear nor any error-
messages in the logfiles.

I use:
node 'puppettest' {

include mysql::server
include augeas

mysql::database {"tsdfsdf": ensure => present,}

}
