I'm using Psi. I'm absolutely unsure in which format I have to

Data Transfer Proxy: the name (as in JID) of your proxy65 or similar
transport (use service discovery to find the name);

So if the JID is "proxy65.jabber-host.tld" I use this name? (And here I
can also use "msn.jabber-host.tld"?)

Yes, you should use proxy65.jabber-host.tld.

I don't believe msn.jabber-host.tld will work, because pyMSNt is not a fully compliant XEP-0065 transport. It just implements enough to be able to send files from MSN to Jabber, not enough to act as a proxy between jabber clients like proxy65 does.

Data Transfer Port: Psi will also offer a direct connection to your
PC at this port. This alllows for example, really fast transfers over
local lan.
Data Transfer External Address: if you are behind NAT, you can use a
dyndns setup of your choice and place here the name you've given
yourself. Make sure your nat box is setup to forward you the Data
Transfer Port.

Hmm ... I'm having a static IP - but I'm using different computers at
home. And since I'm a little bit paranoid I never would forward ports if
they were not absolutely necessary.

I personally don't use them. I move around too much to bother. But you should then set Port to 0 to disable it.

So it should work with Psi and MSN Transport that I only edit the "Data Transfer Proxy" field (to the JID of the MSN transport) and file transfer
should work?

If you set your Data Transfer Port to 0, your Data Transfer Proxy to proxy65.jabber-host.tld and if you have your pyMSNt properly configured, you should be able to do file transfer both ways with MSN.

It's really a pain in the ... that I have to switch to the microsoft
messenger to do a file transfer at the moment ...

yeah, MSN file transfer is the most request feature around here too.
