Eh? What's wrong with triple quoted strings? By the way, don't get me started on the mainstream translation companies that don't understand the gettext .po format! Ugh. How frustrating! Both Simultrans and L10nbridge choke when given .po files. They're really best with Java property files and *dumb* text formats.
