Hi, I just used easy_install to install a package on OSX 10.4.9 (MacBook Pro) and noted that the built egg has the following name:
FOO-py2.5-macosx-10.3-fat.egg I looked inside the egg and yes, there are "fat" (PPC and Intel) shared objects. I tried looking through the PEAK website and the distutils docs, but there was nothing specific about how one might configure the build process on OSX.
