I think first step should be an easier way to link activity and
equipment, like a drop down menu in register tab when no equipment has
been assigned (yes, multiple assignment should go through editing the
activity).

Regarding default equipment when multiple sports are present, I have
no (real) experience on switching sports in pytrainer, so it would be
great to listen from those who are used to do it. Anyone?

Regarding shortcuts, it reminds me some tickets originally opened by
Doug which encourage following Gnome's Human Interface Guidelines
(http://developer.gnome.org/hig-book/stable/). Unfortunately not much
attention has been paid to this topic from my side... :o
