Hi,
Hm - maybe there is a difference on "how you turn the news panel off". I
tried with a new empty profile and it is the same behaviour like on my
default profile. Once I press the little "x" icon on the top right of
the news panel, there is no way to turn it back on.
On the other hand, if you go to "Settings" --> "Options" --> "General"
and use that option to toggle visibility of the News Panel, then I can
really turn it on and off as expected.
So, the culprit seems to be the littel "x" Icon on the top right of the
News Panel. Once, you use, that, the news panel is gone for good. No
easy way to get it back. Andreas

Hi I just did a fresh install of QGIS 3.10 and it works for me. I will tried toggling the feed off, closing QGIS, opening it, toggling, on, restarting. All worked fine for me (on macOS). Maybe it is a Linux specific issue? Andreas maybe you can try manually editing settings in your profile to see if it comes back when you remove the flag there? Regards
Tim

Regardless of the setting in the "Options" --> "General" --> "Show QGIS news feed on welcome pate" dialogue. That part of the start screen never comes back. There is something odd with the news feed section on the start screen. I have enabled "Show QGIS news feed on welcome page" and set the Welcome Page on the project launch. I only see the "recent project" and "project template" panel in the beginning. Thanks! Hi Raymond,

You can confirm it by yourself. Just open https://feed.qgis.org/ and you
will see the entire news feed. I think we should publish a short "welcome to QGIS 3.10" article
(ideally when the change log is ready), so that we've got something to
show on first load?

fully agreed. Tim already prepared something, probably good to start
from that?
Cheers.
