Hi,
Finally, I succeed in displaying multimedia object using eVis plugin.
My first trial was unsuccessful because I used a .pdf file that couldn't be displayed, although I used the same method that the one described in manual.
With image file such as .jpeg file, it works perfectly.

Hi Christophe,
There is a short answer, ask more questions if needed.
In QGIS 1.6, you have two main ways of using a field refering to
multimedia file :
- use an action that will open a specific application, this can be
defined in the properties of the layer (see p.74 of the fr manual) and
there could be several different actions for one layer
- use the evis plugin (see p.143)
If you're interested in QGIS, there will be workshops held at the
Rencontres SIG La Lettre the 18 and 19 May.
