Has anyone recent experience of using SMSQ/e on a Super Gold Card and Aurora with DD disks.
I reformatted and reinstalled a customer's system over the weekend and although his Miracle ED disk drives worked fine under a JS ROM, when SMSQ/e v3.09 was installed (the last version I had) although you could read from DD disks, when you tried formatting them you got format failed (and a lot of noise as though the heads were not being controlled properly). If you tried writing to the disks, the disk activity light came on, but nothing was written and smsq/e hung (the original file if you were overwriting one was still there intact). I wonder if this goes back to an earlier bug which I reported a few years ago - namely in earlier SMSQ/e versions, you could boot up the system and FORMAT a DD disk without problems.
