Evening Darren, Speaking as a Jock, can I just say that whisky does indeed taste like floor cleaner!
I hate the taste of the stuff and beer as well. I like a nice glass of wine personally especially the fine fruit wines from Perth shire, Cairn O'Mhor. (Care no more!) Try them. The Bramble is like a fine port. The raspberry is divine. Avoid the strawberry unless you like sweeeeeeet wine. We have a bottle of 2000 Banana in the wine rack. Whiskey I cannot comment on as I would never bring myself to even taste anything whisky like. And finally, I hope everyone enjoys the evening and the food. It's neeps by the way!
